I had purchased the licensed version of Coastal Explorer 4.0 version towards use on my small ships. However, I have been using the earlier version 3.6 which has been discontinued from updates by Rose Point.
I was able to log data and save on a system using version 3.6 easily in NMEA.log text file (screenshot attached). However, the new upgraded 4.0 version doesn't provide the similar logging feature.
In view of the above following requested -
Way ahead on data recording in NMEA.log in version 4.0 of Coastal Explorer
Settings in the software that can help achieve the objective. If yes, Please share the procedure.
Any other third party application for data logging .

Yes, you can log NMEA raw data in Coastal Explorer version 4.0 by accessing the Settings in the software. Unfortunately, there is no built-in feature like in version 3.6, however, you can use third-party applications for data logging. You can try looking for specific software that can help you achieve the objective.
You can transfer Coastal Explorer from one PC to another by uninstalling the program from the first PC and then installing it on the second PC using the installation file and potentially a product key depending on how the software is licensed. Alternatively, you can check if the software has a built-in transfer or migration feature that allows you to transfer the program along with your settings and data from one PC to another.
MalwareBytes tells me there is a Trojan-type malware associated with Coastal Explorer Express. What's the deal there?

You need to download the application from its official website using the link posted below. If you have downloaded the package from a 3rd party website, then you can expect the archive to be infected with trojans or malware. Always download the packages from the official website.
If you saved it from their website, then it's a false positive, because I have tested the application and it works normally.
